The house is solid, simple and natural. Facilities are all of good quality and the curved adobe walls create peace and privacy with established gardens giving a country feel. The décor throughout speaks of Africa, the owners homeland.
Secluded away the Kottaj is a two bedroom house with polished terrazzo floors. Dining here can accommodate six and glass bricks allow for natural light play throughout living area.
Glass doors open to a large sheltered courtyard where a double daybed built into the stone walls whispers to be rested upon. Outdoor dining under the mulberry tree is an option and Kottaj dwellers have full use of the Shebeen to entertain or enjoy a quiet drink.
The Shebeen, a shared gathering place is designed for fun and comfort. With it's organic bush pole structure, solid timber bar and benches, grass roof and exposed stone floor, you could be in Africa. The fully functioning outdoor kitchen with bar fridge make entertaining easy, beautiful enough to wed in; the Shebeen is also a perfect place to catch the morning sun for a quiet coffee.

Guest Reviews
My husband and I felt very comfortable at the Kottaj. It was surprisingly quiet, which we appreciated very much. Located in the back of the property, we felt secluded, like it was our own little Kottaj. We were happy to have Wifi. It is about a 15 minute walk into Fremantle for the shops. It has all the basics covered, it is not fancy, but that was not what we were looking for. We wanted a peaceful, quiet place, where we could cook meals, do our laundry, walk to town, and be on the patio.
