paddies and lush tropical jungle, Ubud is an artisan's village,
home to many local craftsmen and international artists. Full of

Lovina The North Coast is one of the more untouched areas of Bali, with a relaxed atmosphere and a more traditional lifestyle. The Bali Barat National Park extends throughout the region. Just a few minutes west of Singaraja, the island's former Dutch Colonial capital, lies Lovina, a lovely village situated on a unique stretch of black sand beach. Here the pace is slow, with little in the way of shops and nightlife. The offshore reefs and numerous dolphins inhabiting the clear waters make this area a very popular destination for divers. |

Tanjung Benoa
Extending from Nusa Dua to
Benoa Village, Tanjung Benoa is the peninsula location of some of Bali's
most famous international resorts. Across the bay is Benoa
Harbour, the well known port for international cruise ships, luxury
cruises and boat transfers to nearby islands such as Lembongan, Lombok
and the Gilis. This area is a hub for up-market shopping, luxury
resorts, waterside restaurants, water sports (parasailing, jet skiing,
banana boats, flight fish, glass bottom boat trips), fishing, diving,
snorkeling and surfing. |

Ungasan
Ungasan is a developing
tourism area within Bali. The Ulu Watu surfing mecca with its
variety of surf breaks is well known to surfers from around the globe
and is becoming more popular for other water sports enthusiasts.
The temple of Ulu Watu sits at the very edge of the cliff and is one of
a number of important temples to the spirits of the sea. The view
is impressive from the Bukit (hill); filled with surfers by day
and the lights of the fishing boats at night and is particularly
spectacular at sunset when you can sit and watch the daily ceremonial Kecak dance. |
